Video: Pentagon Picks New Air Force One Plane

The Pentagon has chosen Boeing's 747-8 to replace the two aging planes that serve as the President's Air Force One fleet. It will undertake the modifications necessary to make the plane ready for presidential flights, including the addition of sophisticated communication equipment and living quarters for the President and his staff. According to Bloomberg, the plane itself is a rarity ? declining demand for the 747-8 has slowed its production to just 1.5 planes per month.

Video: JPMorgan Profited From Soaring Swiss Franc: Bloomberg

Citing two people with knowledge of the matter, Bloomberg has reported that JPMorgan Chase's currency traders made a profit of as much as $300 million when the Swiss central bank shocked markets by scrapping its cap on the franc this month. Bloomberg added that JPMorgan netted $250 million to $300 million on the day the Swiss National Bank removed the franc's ceiling of 1.20 against the euro.

Samsung is widely predicted to unveil a new Galaxy S phone at the Mobile World Congress show in March. vIf the report is accurate, the change could be a significant blow to Qualcomm, with the potential of losing a high-profile design win in a flagship Samsung phone. Such a Samsung decision could then make it harder for Qualcomm to sell the new 810 chip, which was made for use in high-end mobile devices, just as Qualcomm is starting to market it.??

Video: 100 Humanoid Robots Perform Synchronized Dance Routine in Tokyo

One hundred humanoid robots performed a synchronized dance routine in Tokyo on Monday. Each of the one hundred 'Robi' robots weighs just 2.2 pounds and stands just a little over a foot tall. The '100 Robi' project is the brainchild of Tomotaka Takahashi of Tokyo University. The synchronized dance lasted three minutes and went off without a hitch. What made the project so uniquely challenging, Takahashi said, was designing a robot that could be produced in large numbers at a low cost.
